Dealing with waste management companies is a hassle. Haul-off fees are expensive enough, but then you’re also nickel and dimed for everything from blocked dumpsters to fuel fees and even charges for using a gate key.
The last thing you want is to pay any more to your waste management company for a damaged dumpster.
At Smash My Trash, our whole mission is to save you money. We’ve done that for all of our clients, like this trucking company in Houston that is saving tens of thousands of dollars annually in waste haul charges. Not only are we able to reduce your hauls by up to 70 percent, but we do so without doing any damage to your dumpsters.
We want to protect your business’s interests and your bottom line, not add more charges or headaches to your plate. Here’s what you need to know:
Our Smash Trucks Are 100-Percent Damage Free: Get the Facts
Are you unsure if our powerful Smash Trucks haven’t done any damage? Take a look at our track record:
Over our time working in the industry, we have a zero-percent dumpster damage rate. What does that mean?
- Our drivers average 22 stops per day and as many as 40 total smashes each day.
- If each Smash Truck services businesses within their community 300 days out of the year, that’s 12,000 smashes per year.
- Our teams across the country have performed around half a million smashes with our Smash Trucks.
And there are still zero recorded instances of damage to commercial dumpsters.
If that fact doesn’t speak for itself, think about this: All of our Smash My Trash partners throughout the country have extensive umbrella liability policies for any potential incidents.
In our five years of operation, we’ve never had to use our liability coverage. A dumpster has never been damaged by one of our Smash Trucks.
How We Keep Damage From Happening
Our Smash Trucks are pretty powerful. They’d have to be to tackle the massive amounts of waste found in a commercial dumpster in the industries we serve. Smash Trucks don’t compress waste, cramming and pushing it into the dumpster, wedging it there forever. Instead, they break things apart, removing the extra air and space in the dumpster.
The truth remains, though, that these Smash Trucks contain a great deal of smashing power. We’ve seen them decimate a dumpster’s worth of pallets in no time. It’s quite a sight to behold.
But with all of this smashing potential, we know it’s important to keep our Smash Trucks in line. After all, “with great power comes great responsibility.” Here’s how we control that power and never damage your dumpsters.
First and foremost, our Smash My Trash team is here to help save your business money. They don’t want to add to your expenses by damaging your dumpsters. For this reason, our teams are trained extensively to use our Smash Trucks safely. Their training starts at our main facility and continues in the field before operators are ever allowed to use the machinery on their own. They never touch the sides or bottom of your dumpster with the Smash Truck’s roller.
Damage-Free by Design
Our Smash Trucks have been specifically designed and created to prevent dumpster damage from happening. What does this mean? The rollers on our Smash Trucks allow eight to 10 inches of clearance on both sides of the dumpster to prevent the roller from making contact with the side walls.
The trash-compacting roller arms on our Smash Trucks do not articulate laterally; they cannot move from side to side and damage the sides of the dumpster. Our drivers are trained thoroughly on how to stop before hitting the front or back walls of the dumpster, and they have great visibility from their vantage point to avoid doing any damage.
Additionally, we’ve placed a safety ring around the outer edges of the roller drum, so in the odd event that something shifts or moves and it makes contact with the dumpster, this safety ring enables a mechanical hard stop feature. This means the heavy-duty teeth on the roller are never able to come in contact with the front or the back wall. On all four sides, there’s plenty of protection to keep dumpsters intact.
Our Smash My Trash procedures also implement another added level of security to protect against claims of dumpster damage: They are equipped with live-streamed cameras. Anytime the truck is on and running, the cameras are recording so that there is always video evidence that no damage has occurred to protect your business and ours from claims of damage from your waste management company.
We also take before and after pictures of the dumpsters, from the walls to the locks and the gates.
Why are we so careful with our documentation? We stand by our zero-damage status. We aren’t just claiming that we’ve never done any dumpster damage because we haven’t seen it. We can say with certainty that we’ve never done any damage to our clients’ dumpsters because we’ve always checked.
At Smash My Trash, it’s not just about preventing damage. We’re here to help your business thrive. We can increase the amount of space in your commercial dumpster and reduce your number of haul offs by as much as 70 percent with a guaranteed savings of 20 percent.
Our goal is to save business owners like you precious time spent managing trash in the dumpsters and to save you money on waste removal services in the process—all while maintaining our zero-percent dumpster damage rate.
